Meeting toniteHi folks,
I'm home today in preparation for a weekend of mother/daughter bonding
(egad!) so if anyone needs to reach me today, don't bother using the
debbie@pollstar.com address. I won't see it till Monday. I'm also still on
dialup, so if the phone's busy I'm likely on-line.
Vic - Rych and I notified the group that you would be in Berkeley on
Tuesday.
Everyone - when responding to messages coming from the "discuss" list, you
have to hit "reply all" or else only the person who wrote the message you
are responding to will see your reply.
I think Monday would be a good idea; Vic can give us a report from the KPFA
staff meeting, and I would recommend inviting Mark as well for a report from
him on Wednesday's LAB meeting. Between the two, we should have a pretty
clear picture of what's happening re: the marathon.
And on an off-topic note, if you're not near a TV or radio, it's just been
announced that an employee of NBC in New York was apparently exposed to
anthrax September 25 (she is responding well to treatement, Giuliani says) -
they just announced it an hour or so ago. That it has taken more than two
weeks for the public (and probably other NBC workers) to be told, I think it
underscores why it is so important we hang tough with our collective efforts
to support KPFA and the restoration of Pacifica, let alone ensure we keep
KFCF well-funded for a long, robust life.
