KFCF Programming Committee Minutes - August 8, 2006
 
1.  Meeting convened at 7:15 pm
 
2.  In attendance were David Gendron, Rych Withers, Randy Stover and Vic
Bedoian
 
3.  The minutes of the June 2006 meeting were approved without revision.
 
4.  Evaluation of the "Art Attack" was discussed.  The program was praised
for it's coverage of the the local arts and generally good production
values.  The evaluation of "Twenty Second Soundbite" was rescheduled until
next month.
 
5.  Discussion of payola and language "indecency" policy at KFCF.  The
committee adopted the payola and program language forms from KPFA and make
them applicable to KFCF.  Rych and Vic will draft a policy for both payola
and language for the board to review and adopt.
 
6.  The next program to be evaluated will be "Interstellar Lounge".
 
7.  Vic submitted for consideration a proposal to broadcast the series "From
the Vault" produced and distributed by the Pacifica Radio Archives.  It is a
one-hour program distributed weekly consisting of historic programs from the
57 year old archive.  The program would replace "Herbal Highway" on
Thursdays at 1 pm on weeks 1 through 3 of every month.  The 4th Thursday is
taken by the local program "Literary Mosaic".
 
8.  The next meeting was set for Tuesday, September 12, 2006.
 
9.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.
