[FFCF-PNA] FW: Gates hearings to be national

Hi Folks,
I thought I'd forward Sasha's thoughts to you. I'm going to give the
Pacifica Archive show a deeper listening. Maybe we could take the half-hour
version of the Archives show and put it on the first Friday of the month at
3 pm - we don't have a local show at that time since Earth First moved to
their current slot. Then we could put Alternative Radio on the 1 pm
Thursday slot.
What do you all think?
If we are in agreement, I would like to start on the first of the year with
the new programs.
Best,
Vic

Hi Vic,
Thanks for your email. I hear your concerns about the Herbal Highway --
they are concerns that we have also discussed recently here. It sounds to
me like your reasons for dropping it are well thought out (and I echo your
sentiments about narrow-casting, which we seem to do a lot of on KPFA).
By the way, I haven't been that impressed with From the Vault --
particularly the hour long version. The half hour version seems decently
produced, but they seem to put some odd things in the full hour to stretch
it out. That's just my opinion, of course, to be taken with a grain of
salt.
Best,
Sasha
