MEMO TO PROGRAMMERS AND STAFF

 

 

It is a violation of federal law to broadcast obscene, profane, or indecent
programming at any time.  Violators of the law, if convicted in a federal
district court, are subject to criminal fines and/or imprisonment.  The
broadcasting agency as well as individuals can be held liable.

 

KFCF shall not broadcast obscene, profane, or indecent material at any time.
Failure to comply with this FCC regulation will result in suspension of
staff and/or termination of program. 

 

*       All prerecorded material, including music, must be edited.  It is
not sufficient to bleep words or flip them to change the sound; you must
omit them completely.  

 

*       When you have a live guest, you must let them know about the
language restrictions before they get on the air.

 

*       Board Operators are required to use the delay at all times.
However, the delay is not to be used to edit material, nor should one use
language that is considered profane, indecent, or obscene just because the
delay is in use.
