[FFCF-PNA] Minutes for PNA meetings

Hello PNA,
 
Here are the minutes for the December 14, 2005 meeting and the February 14,
2006 meeting:
 
FFCF/KFCF Programming Needs Assessment Committee, December 14, 2005
 
Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm.  In attendance were Stan Poss, David
Gendron, Randy Stover, Rych Withers and Vic Bedoian.
 
1.  Discussion of the program evaluation worksheet and the problems using it
and questions about its effectiveness.  The consensus was the numerical
rating systems does not work well.  The system will be changes to evaluate
using yes/no and brief written responses to the questions on the evaluation
form.
 
2.  The first round of program evaluations for Street Heat, Wasteland of the
Free and Valley Politics and the African American Community will happen at
the next meeting.
 
3.  The second round of program evaluations were selected by random pick:
Queer Thang, Sierra Nevada Earth First Radio, and Earthbeat.
 
4.  The next meeting was set for January 10, 2006 at 7 pm.
 
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm
 
 
 
FFCF/KFCF Programming Needs Assessment Committee, February 14, 2006.  
 
Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm.  In attendance were David Gendron, Rych
Withers, Randy Stover and Vic Bedoian.
 
1.  Discussed and accepted the revised evaluation form for recommendation to
the board for approval.
 
2.  Discussed the program proposal by Valley Politics for a weekly, two hour
Monday evening program to replace their current half hour weekly show.  The
committee recommended to the Program Director that they should start doing
the Monday show every other week to see how well the program does.  After a
two to three month trial period the Program Director will evaluate the
program and make a decision about the show being given a weekly program.
 
3.  The committee discussed the evaluations of the first round of programs,
Street Heat, Wasteland of the Free and Valley Politics.
 
4.  Discussed the valley broadcast of the KPFA program "Voices of the Middle
East and North Africa".  The program has been covered up by our local
program "Nuestro Foro".  The was to move Nuestro Foro to Tuesdays at 7 pm
and air Voices of the Middle East and North Africa on Wednesdays at 7 pm
beginning March 29, 2006.
 
The meeting was adjourned at 9 pm.
