KFCF Programming Needs Assessment Committee Minutes 1-10-07
 
1.  The meeting convened at 7:10 pm.  In attendance:  David Gendron, Rand
Stover, Vic Bedoian and guest John Pethel.
 
2.  The minutes of the PNA meeting of 11/14/06 were approved.
 
3.  The program "Interstellar Lounge" was evaluated.  The music program
plays a wide variety of contemporary ambient sound/space music genres and is
a unique offering for radio in this region.  The musical selection was
highly praised as was the presentation.  There was a suggestion that the
back-announcing of the musical pieces occur more often, so it is easier for
listeners to know what they have just heard.
 
4.  The program "Nuestro Foro" was evaluated.  This is a public affairs and
news program in Spanish.  The program is considered very well produced and
professional with issues that are relevant to Latinos in the Valley.
 
5.  The next programs to be evaluated are:  Stir It Up WILPF Style and
Saturday Evening Classics.
 
6.  There was a discussion about two shows where the producers have been
frequently absent.  The Program Director will talk to the program hosts
clarify the situation.
 
7.  The next meeting time was set for Wednesday February 14, 2007.  The
meeting adjourned at 8:01 pm.
